First-hand experience with residential freight delivery

Insider, Articles

We don't often write about our own experiences with shipping, but I had a recent experience with Estes and their subsidiary, Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW). This all started with a 10-year old's fervent desire for a basketball hoop.

We live in a suburban neighborhood, and I would guess that about 10% of all homes have a basketball hoop. That fact along with the fact that our neighborhood park had a basketball hoop did not deter my son from begging and pleading for a basketball hoop of his very own. This led me to adventures in e-commerce, searching for the best deal, which we discovered to be Walmart. I never really gave much thought to the shipping of the hoop, as I figured they would use FedEX or UPS. But I underestimated the sheer size and weight of the item.

Pacejet loves to uncover shipping trends and truths that help us improve customer operations, save money, and move businesses forward. That's why we believe in the science of shipping—because companies are ever-evolving and data, analytics, and flashes of brilliance can help you get where you want to go.
