In today's rapidly-changing shipping environment, more businesses are using a strategic portfolio of parcel, freight, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to support a full range of services requested by customers.
For the Pacejet platform, any provider of shipping services (e.g. rating, shipping, tracking, voiding, etc.) is considered a "carrier" and we're constantly looking for high-value services to integrate into our network. In today's post, we're pleased to announce an enhanced integration with a 3PL provider named AFS.

Why Customers Choose AFS
AFS is a leader in transportation cost management solutions with support for a variety of domestic and international carrier services. With over 1,400 customers in telecommunications, consumer goods, industrial supplies, and more, AFS helps businesses evaluate and better manage their shipping spend. Customers range from Fortune 500 businesses to medium sized businesses, and AFS manages over $10 billion in annual shipping.
The upgraded AFS integration with Pacejet supports a full complement of rating, shipping, tracking, and voiding functionality that is available for any Pacejet user running popular ERP integrations and for custom integrations via the Pacejet API. New and enhanced services popular with Pacejet shippers include lift gate, residential (pickup and delivery), inside (pickup and delivery), protection from freezing, dangerous goods, excessive length, COD, and more.
Activating the AFS integration is similar to activating other third-party logistics providers, including setup for printing bill of lading (BOL) documents, capturing ProNum values, etc. Existing Pacejet customers who already have an earlier AFS integration can request help from support to evaluate their connector version for upgrade or to see if new services are needed.
If you are an existing customer, you can learn more about new carrier integrations by contacting the Pacejet support team. Not sure which carriers are right for you? Read our article on how to pick a shipping carrier.
Or, if you are new to Pacejet, contact our sales team and they will talk with you about all of your company's shipping needs.
Please note that this enhanced integration does not imply endorsement by the carrier; your contract and business relationship will continue to be managed by your company and the carrier.
