BULK QUANTITY SUPPORT FOR SCAN PACK IS IN THE NEXT UPDATE:
The Pacejet scan pack feature has proven to be a popular tool for shippers looking to tighten up accuracy without introducing the cost or complexity of a full-blown WMS system. With scan pack, users can quickly scan and validate ordered items during the pack-ship process to eliminate errors and also efficiently capture the contents of containers for other purposes (e.g. automated export paperwork). One of the feature gaps in earlier releases of Pacejet scan pack was support for additional bulk quantities to make larger shipments more efficient, especially those going to retailers.
Our goal is to keep listening and innovating, so the next update of Pacejet introduces a handy packaging setup to create additional scan-codes for product shipped in bulk quantities (some people calls these master packs).
ENHANCED PACKAGING SETUP FOR SCAN CODES:
To add bulk quantity scanning to your scan pack process, users can simply attach new scan codes to existing product setup, allowing extended quantities to be accepted and validated during packing. Add BOX10 for boxes of 10, PALLET100 for entire pallets, etc... with the appropriate corresponding scancodes used in barcodes. During setup, the system prevents entry of scancodes that overlap existing UPC or product numbers so there's no confusion. Once setup is ready, users can scan items in eaches or in various extended quantities without any other process changes.
FAST, EASY, AND MORE ACCURATE:
As we get closer to the holiday season, more shippers will be dealing with large unit quantities during the pack and ship process, especially for those large retail orders. We hope many will benefit from this new feature and keep good ideas like this one coming in to help us keep improving the product. Stay tuned for more new features in the upcoming pipeline of developments.
